Nijmegen Proteomics Facility

Introduction

The growing availability of genomic sequence information, together with improvements of protein characterization by mass spectrometry, facilitates protein research enormously. To exploit these opportunities the Nijmegen Proteomics Facility (NPF) has been established. Its aim is to initiate, coordinate and facilitate proteomics research activities. Because of huge costs proteomics efforts have so far been performed on a limited scale. The NPF offers fundamental technological tools in and knowledge transfer for proteomics research and makes them available for academic and industrial researchers, both within and outside the Radboud University Nijmegen and Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre. The presence of the NPF creates great new and exciting potentials in unravelling complex biological problems such as the nature of particular molecular complexes or pathways in disease state.
