At this moment we cannot detail the costs for the analysis and use of MALDITOF mass spectrometer. Costs will be variable. This depends on whether an expert’s instruction is needed for the use of the machine, analyses are done by us or by yourself, the amount of machine-time and consumables (chemicals, lab disposables) that are required. We, however, work on a non-profit basis. Costs are calculated such that depreciation and maintenance costs of the machine, renewal of machine parts (laser source), purchase of chemicals, database updates, extension of computer-data-storage facilities are proportionally shared by all consumers.
